Ready for probably the only love story you’ll hear that involves a chili and cheese covered hotdog? I thought so… I’m kinda in love with this bride… she also made almost everything for her wedding herself.. WHO ARE THESE BRIDES??? All I have to say is Jordan is one lucky guy! He snagged a hot dog lovin, DDG, Martha friggin Stewart. ( minus the jail time….) OH and let us not forget they got married at Buffalo Trace Distillery!!!! Can we be friends?? Thanks. JAA Studios you nailed this one!
“How we came to be”
Jordan and I met while working at Texas Roadhouse. There are varying stories as to how we finally ended up together. Jordan claims I was in love with him immediately. I however know the truth, that Jordan had a crush on me. After hanging out after work a few times I began to fall for Jordan’s humor and laid-back attitude. I had to move out of the house I was living in and didn’t have a place to go. Jordan said he would help me and moved me in with his friends, Ed and Tamara, who we also worked with. Jordan then began spending a lot of time over at Ed and Tamara’s. I believe we decided we were officially dating at a UK/ Western football tailgate in the fall of 2008.
It was a rainy day on April 17, 2012. I had had a horrible day. At that point I had been out of school for five months and still hadn’t found a job. I had an interview with a company I was really excited about that day and it had gone miserably. I knew immediately I would not be getting the job. Jordan wanted to take me out to dinner to cheer me up. He was very adamant that we go eat downtown, which was a little odd. I chose Sam’s Hotdog Stand. Yes, I wanted a chili and cheese covered hotdog for my meal. Jordan went with it and once we got to Sam’s it was closed, so Jordan suggested we eat at DeSha’s, right next to Triangle Park. We had our dinner and then Jordan suggested we go look at the fountains – on a rainy day (hmmm?). I obliged after a few minutes of telling him we could see the fountains from the restaurant. We were walking along and I was talking, Jordan wasn’t saying much of anything, and then he dropped down on one knee quicker than I’ve ever seen anyone move. I can’t quite remember his exact words, but he was as pale as a ghost, so I started laughing in between the tears of excitement. Obviously I said yes and we were giddy the whole ride home!
