Some weddings cross our paths and at first glance, yes, the photos are beyond gorg but then we read what the bride has to say. Boom. We’re done for. We could go on and on about how insanely beautiful the florals are ( yeah, Erica is LEGIT ) or how perfect her photos are.. but really.. just read what Lauren has to say. The last line? yep. Perfection.
Bride: We met when we were in high school and have been through it all. We both went away for college and managed to make many new friends and enjoy separate experiences. We also visited eachother’s new cities and met the new friends and enjoyed witnessing who each of us were becoming. Our ability to grow separately yet come back together forged a strong foundation for our relationship.
Eddie is two years older than me and moved back to our hometown before I finished college. I traveled abroad for three summers and Eddie supported and encouraged me every step of the way, as long as I brought home neat souvenirs haha. When I finished college and moved back home, we decided it was finally time to tie the knot!
We both have a laid back southern style which made the plantation architecture of Whitehall Mansion and the beautiful gardens behind it an ideal spot for our outdoor wedding. Not only was our venue perfect, the entire day was perfect, down to the torrential rain an hour before the ceremony that miraculously cleared right when guests started arriving. The flowers were my favorite detail of the day, other than the look on my grooms face when he saw me of course. I chose subdued colors for every other aspect of the wedding because I really wanted my flowers to stand out. I seriously think my florist somehow found a way into my mind because she made the vision in my head become a reality. My bridesmaids are also another thing that completely matched my vision. I gave the girls a color spectrum and some styles and set them free to choose their dresses. Their tastes and styles all complemented each other so well, it gave them a mismatched yet still put together look. This nontraditional style fits Eddie and I exactly, we don’t always color in the lines like we’re supposed to, but we still make a beautiful picture together.
